If you are looking for the nearest place to unwind, Subic is one of the places that you should go to! Two to three hours drive if you're from Manila and an hour if you're already from the North. Since my best friend and I were both stressed back then, we decided to have a mini getaway at Johan's Beach Resort and Dive Center.
Believe it or not, we were just backpackers. We didn't went there riding a car. We went there via commute and it was smooth and easy because my best friend stayed in Subic when she was working for a certain company. I don't know why other people are afraid of commuting, when in fact, you shouldn't be because it's more adventurous!
Our room was nice! It's just simple and it's perfect for two persons. Our room only costs P1,000 with complete use of everything. You just have to pay P50 for the use of cable T.V but we decided not to pay extra because we didn't want to stay in our room just watching T.V all day.
So after unpacking our things, we decided to eat first because we were very hungry. We packed our own food for day 1. It was a salt and pepper crabs and shrimps with rice. Perfect for our beach trip.
The bed has a built in selfie light which is perfect for our selfies! HAHA If only I could bring it home, I would really do it!

We went swimming for a little while. The weather was actually fine for us. It's not that sunny and also the rain was not that heavy. So we were still able to stay and swim. People around us also didn't mind the light rain and continued with their own activities like banana boating, diving, riding the jetski and etc.
How did we got this picture? We asked one of the staffs from the beach resort where we we stayed to took a photo of us and he did good!
We went back to our room to rest and change clothes. Then after a while we went down to the restaurant to chill and eat and watch the beautiful sunset of Subic!
They serve the best pizza ever!! I swear! Plus, look at that violet-pinkish sunset! The world we live in is pretty amazing and wonderful!
Another photo ops before we went out to look for food again HAHA (because food is life) and we bought a ticket for a foam party at another resort near the resort where we stayed.
I can't tell you the details of what happened that night but here is a clue:
free beer, tequila, games, beer,dance. We went back to our room early because #basag. HAHA
The next day was fun. We had our chance to swim again before we went home. After that, we packed our bags, fixed ourselves and left the resort happy and satisfied. So, a big thank you to Johan's beach resort and dive center for the warm accommodation! Till next time!
