Reunited at Sundowners Vacation Villas

Remember when the older peeps told us that "High school friends are forever"? They're right.

Right after we graduated high school, we all went to different universities in college. Two of us went abroad and pursue their life and career there. We're actually a group of six but the MIAs were: Sheena, in Japan. Dianne, reviewing for board exam.

Long story short, our friend Yana who went to Ireland and came home to the Philippines after how many years, decided to treat us all to a staycation at Sundowners Vacation Villas in Bolinao, Pangasinan.

We were never different from any kinds of friendship. We all had our ups and downs. We didn't talk for months or even years. But when we met again after Yana came back home, it was like things haven't changed. It's like high school all over again.

This time, it's a little different. We all grew up as a strong, independent (pero minsan fragile) woman. We all had different lives right after we graduated from high school. But one thing's for sure: our friendship still remained the same.

Let me tell you a little bit of story about each one of them.

Left to right: Trisha, who we never thought was going to be inclined with business administration is now working at a travel agency. When we went here, she just got from a heartbreak and she was the only one without partner. But she never was bitter. She just enjoyed this trip and happily became the official third wheel of the barkada.

Yana, went to Ireland after high school and worked at a hotel there. No doubt, cause she took Tourism  Management before leaving the country. And now, a proud mom of a very pretty and lovely baby named Savy!

Elle or Jodielle (Haha), who also took Tourism Management and was also a dancer at their university. Still enjoying her life and wants to work at an airline company.

Not in the picture:
Sheena, who's in Japan, working different kinds of job and living independently on her own.
Dianne, who I haven't seen for years??? She's still busy reviewing for board exams. A future customs broker.

And then, there's me. Haha.

Anyway, we decided to book at Sundowners because it's aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and as a true millenial, we just wanted to pose for photos and also have a short but memorable outing again together after how many years. The villa was huge enough for us and it's beautiful and we didn't really find the place boring because we enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing card games and drinking! ;)

Of course, we all have instagram boyfriends with us who patiently took all of our photos. (Sorry boys, we're all taken)

If you're wondering why my hair is long, this trip happened last March so this was just a long overdue post. As we all know, I kind of went into a writing break. But now, slowly getting back on track.

As a true friend, Trisha who just got into a heartbreak took all our couple photos willingly in exchange of taking her photos for instagram purposes! Haha #TrueFriend

This was not staged. I swear we were really this happy together!

Please don't ask me about the price of the villas as I have forgotten already. But you can check out their website! https://sundowners.ph

Anyway this was just an overnight trip because we're all busy and only had few free days. Yana was about to go back to Ireland after a few days, I have to go back to work, Elle and Trisha have a lot of things to do at school. But we're so glad that we made this trip!

Night before travelling to Pangasinan, we went out to drink. This was the only photo that we had that night.

The original title of this blog post was: Staycation at Sundowners Vacation Villas but upon reading it on my own, I realized that this post wasn't really about our trip. It was about how we were reunited after how many years. It was a friendship story.

Here's to more trips ahead, hoping we are all complete.
